Stare into my eyes!

Post Processing: Primarily I used curves and layer masks. Basically I made the sky and the water really blue selectively, and then adjusted the brightness of the subject. One of my friends said it looks animated. Does anyone else think that also? And does that take away from the quality of the photo?
