I think the noise works for this one. It does kind of seem like a frame from a really huge reel of film being run on a crappy school projector. But I mean that in the best way possible!

Sometimes you can also take out the color noise (which I like less) and keep the luminous noise (about which I agree with Andrew from St. Peter). You can do this with noiseware, which has a good.
I agree with Andrew, the noise really works with this image. Something I know that I have to work on when I go through my shots is being ok with the fact that the photograph is not technically correct. Sometimes the noise, or the blur, or the off-kilter effect of a photograph actually makes the image better than if it were technically perfect. The question I have to ask myself is, “Does the image work, or doesn’t it?” Does the image evoke feeling? Or is it just a pretty picture? This image evokes feeling. This image works.
