I like it, as an opening stab at the kind of portraiture that Payam does. I am only a bit distracted by the background colors. They're just not ideal. But I like the approach and hope you keep it up. Is this Emily, by any chance :-)

Nice portrait.
I disagree with Myrddin (sorry M ;-)). I think he light and colour at the top of the photo balances out the highlights around her knees and shoes.

This is a lovely portrait. The lighting and colours are lovely, the soft focus very flattering for the subject, and her smile and posture are so friendly. Well captured.

Nice photo - I really want to start working with portraits... Holey jeans though...my current pair have an ever-growing hole in one knee and it's starting to get a tad chilly now that winter is approaching!!
